New training method unlocked! I'm pleasantly surprised at just how closely matched these two laps are given all of the variables involved (tires, ambient conditions, mistakes, etc.). In reality, after the repave Laguna Seca grip is substantially higher, and I'm targeting a faster lap in better conditions with margin removed next time out.

With some minor tweaks to the setup this Assetto Corsa mod feels pretty close to the real thing. Looking forward to further comparisons with reality...
