How To Dehydrate Cherry Tomatoes

🍅 This is my first time using my new Nesco FD-75A 600-Watt Food Dehydrator and I am super excited to see how it works. You are coming along on my adventure!

Dehydrating food is an essential part of food preservation. I’d like to consider myself a bit of an ‘urban’ prepper. I can, freeze, dehydrate and basically gather as much food as possible during the warm months of the year when it is plentiful, fresh and much cheaper. I try to grow my own herbs, fruit and vegetables ensuring I have organic ingredients to work with at all times. What I do not or cannot grow myself I will buy from family, friends and local fruit/veg stands. We only paid 50 cents a quart for these beautiful toms! 😍 I will also gather from abandoned fruit trees out in the country or if I see someone is not using their fruit from their trees (pears, peaches, apples, etc.), I will stop and ask if I may pilfer and the answer is almost always YES PLEASE DO!! See, it saves them the hassle of cleaning all up after it falls from their fruit trees when they have to mow their lawn and quite frankly the worse they can say is no. In my case I have found that they usually say yes and as a matter of fact I do not recall anyone ever refusing my shameless advances on their fruit trees. Free fruit is always a plus! We use it all up in the cold months, saving us trips to the store and lots of 💰!! Winter is coming... 😝 (My friends NEVER get tired of hearing me say this continuously throughout September & October)
