House Atreides (Suite) | Dune (Soundtrack) by Hans Zimmer

House Atreides is the noble family whom belong the main characters of "Dune". Opposed to the brutal and manipulative Harkonnens, the Atreides are defined by their loyal spirit and far-sighted mindset. Their nobility contrasts the cruel world and circumstances they are forced to face - and that's what makes them inspiring.
The theme of the Atreides consists in a beautiful melody played mostly with bagpipes, but the score also offers a different execution with a subtle and gentle female voice. Sadly this theme doesn't appear much in the movie, but the "House Atreides" track from the Sketchbook offers a long and appealing rendition of it. I also added in my montage "Moon over Caladan" despite not featuring the Atreides theme - but I like the vibes of that track, which at first it evokes a melanchonic feeling but later it grows into something more magnificent and fascinating melody, probably related to the noble character of the Atreides themselves.
