J.S.Bach - JESU, JOY OF MAN'S DESIRING for organ (BWV 147) [Hauptwerk // Noordbroek]

In this video you can hear my rendition of J.S.Bach’s “Jesu, joy of Man's Desiring” (Jesus bleibet meine Freude) played on my Hauptwerk organ. I have chosen to use the sample set of Noordbroek, created by Sonus Paradisi.

The Chorale "Jesus, bleibet meine Freude" from the Cantata "Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben", BWV 147 was written in Leipzig for the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Written for trumpet, two oboes, bassoon, two violins, viola, basso continuo, and a standard four-part choir of soprano, alto, tenor, and basso, it comprises ten movements. It has been arranged for a lot of instruments providing it to be one of the most popular movements by Bach to this day.
