Ralph Vaughn Williams’ English Folk Song Suite, consists of 3 movements, featuring many different folk songs from the Norfolk and Somerset regions of England; The introductory march, “Seventeen Come Sunday”, the middle Intermezzo “My Bonny Boy” and the final movement, another march that includes four “Folk Songs from Somerset” melodies. The suite is considered to be a cornerstone work in the literature, and one of the earliest “serious” works for the wind band.
