Genius, Madman or Both? Lee Mavers & The La's

NOTE on pronunciation: I couldn't find any audio file of Lee pronouncing his own last name, but am aware of 2 variants - 'May-vers' and 'Mavvers'. Lee's younger brother Gary is an actor, and he is introduced at different times in different interviews using both versions, so I have used the 'May-vers' pronunciation. Apologies if that's not the one Lee uses - but I couldn't find a source to determine either way.
