I decided to post this video because of the increasing incidence of neck pain I see in yoga class. Most students are not practicing shoulderstand correctly for their bodies. Since we spend many hours a day looking down at cellphones or sitting at desks, we are losing the "curve" of the cervical spine. When the curve of the neck is flattened, practicing shoulderstand without props can really worsen the neck causing injury and pain. Please watch this video and do this amazing posture with a nice, natural curve in your neck!!!
