This is the second episode of our Defender maintenance series. You will probably also like our Defender repairs series.

We will show you how to easily do a transfer box oil change on a Landrover Defender TD4 Duratorq engine 2.4 or 2.2 TDCi Puma using the manual workshop method to keep all your performance. If you own a TD5 or a TDi this operation is very similar because the transfer case LT230 is similar.

Here's what you will need:
3x 1 liter of oil 75W90 API GL-4/GL-5
1x 1/2 inch dynamometric torque wrench
1x multipurpose pump : https://amzn.to/34i2CPR
some Teflon tape
1x oil container
1x funnel
1x cloth

Nous sommes une famille de 4 dont 2 enfants. Nous voyageons depuis des années sur les pistes dans notre Land Rover Defender 110.
Notre véhicule d’expédition est un Defender aménagé. Certains le décrivent plus comme un véhicule de survie mais pour nous c’est le parfait compromis d’aménagement 4x4 et tout-terrain pour le camping.
Nous avons acheté ce véhicule neuf en 2009 et sa motorisation est un TD4 2.4tdci Puma. Nous l’avons transformé jour après jour en un parfait tout terrain de camping 4x4 et il nous permet d’être autonomes lors d’un bivouac, d’un voyage 4x4 ou simplement lors d’un voyage en famille.
Nous adorons passer du temps dans la nature et explorer les pistes sauvages du monde entier en famille.
