Making Grass Silage Bales Using the MacDon M1170 Mower | HORSCH AgroVation Farm | FS 22 | ep #05

Welcome back to the HORSCH AgroVation Farm Timelapse. We begin by connecting our BERTHOUD Vantage 4300 sprayer and proceed to our beet field for fertilization. Afterwards, we make a stop at the store to acquire the new MacDon M1170 mower, boasting a 12-meter working header width. Upon arriving at the initial grassy expanse, we position the new mower for operation. Accompanying us is the FENDT ROTANA 180 XTRA-V baler, which follows behind the mower, collecting the mown grass, forming bales, and enveloping them in protective foil.
This process is replicated across both of our grass fields – mowing and baling in tandem. Subsequently, the bales are collected using the ANDERSON GROUP RBM 2000 stacker affixed to a FENDT 936 VARIO tractor. These bales are place near the field, left to ferment until transformed into silage.
To conclude this cycle, we attach the KUHN AXIS 40.2 M-EMC-W spreader to a FENDT 724 VARIO tractor. After loading it with granular fertilizer, we head to the grass field once again for the purpose of fertilization.
