A visit to one of Britain's Holy Islands | Caldey Island | Pembrokeshire | Wales

Описание к видео A visit to one of Britain's Holy Islands | Caldey Island | Pembrokeshire | Wales

Join us as we take a trip to visit Caldey Island, located just off the picturesque harbour town of Tenby It is a 20 minute boat ride with the rugged Pembrokeshire coastline and the broad sweep of Carmarthen Bay on your back.

Caldey is one of Britains holy islands, with a monastic history going back some 1500 years. But there is more to the island than history. Monasticism is alive and well on Caldey and the bell still rings for Vigils and Monks still reside quietly under the red pinnacled roof of the monastery.

The Ticket office is located within Tenby Harbour and is extremely reasonably priced - a family ticket only cost us £38 return which honestly is worth every penny.

A day out we have often said we would do but always found a reason to delay it.

We hope you enjoy
