A short flight around the Defences of Old Portsmouth

Описание к видео A short flight around the Defences of Old Portsmouth

Hi, and welcome to my first YouTube video for my new channel on which I will upload a series of posts showing you around my ongoing computer model project recreating the Ramparts that once stood around Old Portsmouth in the UK.
The Defences are shown on the whole as they were in around the 1860s although I have taken liberties with the timeline so I can show some parts at earlier more interesting points in their life.
The Round Tower & Point Battery for example where we start is as it was in the 1830s before the section was upgraded to how we see today. The King James Gate is next and I simply couldn't resist modelling it as built in 1687 with its Moat & Drawbridge. To complete this section of wobbly timelines the Square Tower is showing a semaphore tower added in 1823-48.
The rest of the model is based around the 1860 map of Old Portsmouth and its Defences and years of research that is still ongoing so that I can get the model as good a representation as I can.
Thank You for looking in.
