This, final ride this time around, was to check the throttle response following the fitment of a new, correct size main jet [200] and a new replacement for the rather battered looking 106 needle jet and although 30 is the correct size for the piolt jet according to the specs, i fitted a new 25 sized one to try and I think it can stay, because any last signs of lumpy running and stuttering on the first tiny bit of throttle are now completely gone. As for the noises, although correcting the over advanced ignition timing certainly helped. I have also suggested to the owner that the suspected piston slap sounds be monitored and if they start to sound more serious, it might be wise to take a look inside, but they may possibly stay just as they are,..
