Orquesta Humboldt live from Oviedo

This trailer was produced on the occasion of a concert by the Orquesta Humboldt on 27 March 2024 as part of the traditional concert series of the Oviedo Philharmonic Society in Asturias in northern Spain. The original title of the programme was ‘Alba y Ocaso del Clasicismo’ and represents an attempt to span 46 years from the beginnings of the classical style with Franz Joseph Haydn's Funeral Symphony No. 44 to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's famous Symphony in G minor No. 40 and Franz Schubert's Fifth Symphony, perhaps the last ‘classical’ symphony of the 19th century. The Orquesta Humboldt plays consistently in chamber symphony formation, which is appropriate for this repertoire.
