When I first started recommending KETO to my patients a few years ago, it was purely for weight loss. But, the more patients who went keto the more often I heard from them that keto had also caused other things to improve as well. Initially, I thought this must be placebo effect, but after hearing these things hundreds of times, it became obvious that the keto diet is not just for weight loss.
Keto causes your blood sugar to return to normal, it causes your insulin level to return to normal (unless you're Type1), it causes a lessening of inflammation all over your body. When a diet does these things, you can expect other benefits beyond weight loss.
