For best results/quality, watch in HD. This video was filmed by https://www.railwayscenics.com. The Wincanton Model Railway Exhibition was held by the Cale Rail Society at King Arthur's School in Wincanton, Somerset on the 11th and 12th November 2023. A great show filled with over 20 layouts as well as 6 traders.

The layouts featured in the videos are as follows:
1) Highfield Road (4mm/OO) - Based on Kensington Olympia.

2) Margate Road (4mm/OO) - The layout is a double track main line through station that includes a small goods yard. Not set on an actual location but is named after Margate Road after the location of the Hornby HQ. Showcases a mix of BR steam locomotives.

3) Snallbuns Castle/Aseenik Surkell (2mm/N) - A highly detailed layout made using Metcalfe Card Kits but with lots of alterations. For example the houses in the castle used to be the top half of a house kit but was cut from the bottom half so it could be made into a bungalow.

4) St Laven (3mm/TT) - Set in the English countryside.

5) Manningham MO (3.5mm/HO) - A fictitious town between St Louis and Kansas City, just north of the Missouri river and on the edge of the Prairies. The Railroad was built in the early 1900s.

6) 1st and 53rd (3.5mm/HO) - An inglenook shunting puzzle, named after the streets and avenues near 65th street yard in southwest Brooklyn, New York. The layout took inspiration from the 'Port of Brunswick' plan published in May 2016 Model Railroader Magazine.

7) Brooklands (7mm/O) - 3 steam locomotives, 80 tipper wagons, 10 steam cranes and a steam Navvy was enlisted to help with bringing equipment to aid construction of the race track which was 2 3/4 miles long and 100ft wide with banked curves.

8) Llanbobble (005) - Represents a small fictitious 15” gauge line in south Wales, based loosely on Rookwood halt on the Perrygrove railway.

9) Sedgemoor Test Track (7mm/O) - Has the aim of promoting 7mm/O gauge to a wider audience.

10) Wedmore (7mm/O) - A large village in North Somerset and the layout represents an imaginary branch line off the Somerset and Dorset Railway at Edington Junction. The layout was originally built in the early 1990s and revamped by members of the Exeter Gauge O Group.

11) Brockleigh (2mm/N) - a layout modelled to a very high standard.

12) Sturminster Newton (2mm/N) - The layout is based on Sturminster Newton station on the Somerset and Dorset line north of Blandford in the Stour Valley. It is set in the final decade before the line closed in 1966. The layout is DCC operated and currently operated using a Gaugemaster Prodigy controller and JMRI software.

13) I'ad That (3 Rail) - A 21ft x 5ft layout which pays homage to the Hornby Dublo three rail system, which ceased production in 1964. It is fully automated with two low level and one high level continuously running loops.

14) Ryan's Mill (SM32) - A layout depicting a timber mill.

15) West Hill (009) - A small but highly detailed circular loop model railway.

16) Shaftesbury Park (2mm/N) - Set in the south and west, the partly modernised junction station is painted in Network Southeast colours. The trains run in a time sequence from 1980 to 1995.

17) Rheinhof (4mm/OO) - A fictitious location but is imagined as a terminus station on the boarders of Switzerland, Austria and Germany on the southern shores of Lake Constance.

18) Berryford (2mm/N) - The small layout was partially built by a young boy, 12, as a home education project over 18 years ago.

19) Support to the Front (2mm/N) - depicts a scene of supplies being moved to the front line during the war as well as medical tents and accommodation for the horses.

20) Cam Valley (2mm/N) - The centre of this display is based on the terminus of the Somerset Coal Canal at Paulton in North Somerset. The canal used to be served by 20 coal mines in the Paulton and Timsbury area.
