Just like there's a modding scene for the PC gaming community, there's also one for emulated console games. So today I'll be teaching you how to install a mod (or a patch fix) for Nintendo Switch games on Yuzu for Android.

Installing these mods require access to the /Android/data directory, which tends to be blocked on recent versions of Android. However, I have previously uploaded some guides that show you how to workaround this issue.

So if you find yourself not being able to access the /Android/data folder then check the video description below and I'll be sure to include a couple of links to videos I have already done that show you all of the steps involved.

The first thing you're going to need to do is download and extract the mod itself. I'll be using a patch fix for Zelda Link's Awakening as an example for today's video.

This is the mod that I personally downloaded, and then when we extract that it gives us this folder.
So we need to take this folder and either move it, copy it, or paste it into the correct folder.

Which folder, you may ask?
That's one of the game directories in the Yuzu folder within the /Android/data folder that I mentioned earlier.
Then we're going to open up the load directory, and you'll see a number of what seem like randomly named folders listed. And we need to figure out which one is the correct one.

We can figure this out by first checking the Yuzu website.
So I go to Google and do a search for the word yuzu along with the name of the game.

That should give you a game page for Yuzu itself where it talks about the possible game compatibility issues with the emulator.
And if we look at the bottom of the page, we see the game id associated with it.

So now let's go back to that list of directories within the Yuzu folder.
And dive into the one named the same as the game id we saw on the Yuzu website.

Now we just need to paste that folder here and then force close the Yuzu application.
Then, the next time you launch the game, it will look inside this game folder to see if there are any mods that the Yuzu emulator should load with it.

This mod, for example, fixes the fog covering that doesn't display correctly.
I've seen 60FPS mods for games like Dark Souls, and many more out there.
