Big Gigantic has been a pretty big deal to me. They were one of the first artists I ever saw live and I've been trying to see them live again for as long as I can remember. Now a quick story about the Big Gigantic Curse. Before I begin I assure you that every word of this story is true. The first time I saw Big Gigantic, I will admit I was really high, but damn I had an amazing time at that set. Then after the set, I noticed my phone was not in my pocket. At some point during the show I'm fairly certain that someone pick-pocketed me. It really killed my memory and so I tried time and time again to see them live, but when I went to Freaky Deaky, they played Suwanee Hulaween, and when I went to Reaction NYE, they went to Snowta NYE. Finally on a Wednesday in February, out of the blue, I saw they were doing a concert in Milwaukee on Friday. So I put together a shotgun concert and got everything together and 4 of us went. The concert was great and we thought the curse had been broken until the drive home... We got in the car and started driving home, the weather was getting progressively worse and went from rain to snow and so the conditions created the perfect storm. Somewhere along the highway, my jeep began to slide and when I tried to correct it, the car slid again, overcorrected and we ended up slamming into the barrier and totaling the car. Thankfully no one was hurt, but the Big Gigantic Curse continues.
