2017-2024 DURAMAX: Fuel Filter Replacement (L5P)

How to replace the fuel filter on a 2017-2024 Duramax 6.6L L5P Engine. With fuel pressures reaching 30,000-40,000 psi through a nozzle as small as .007", clean fuel is a must. Problems such as rough idle, hard start, no start, limp-mode, etc can be traced back to bad fuel gumming up injectors, pumps, and filters. The fuel filter should be replaced every 10,000 to 25,000 miles (15,000 miles is the norm). The process is the same for the Silverado and Sierra, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024. This video also demonstrates how to reset the fuel filter indicator on the display.
