1998 Nissan Pathfinder Blower Motor repair (Fan Control Amp)

Blower motor not working when you adjust the A/C fan speed? The problem maybe one of four items: 1) Fuse, 2) Blower Motor, 3) Fan control Amplifier, and/or 4) Auto amplifier.
Our vehicle is a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder SE with AUTO fan control. Those without AUTO will likely need to replace the Fan resistor. Reading newsboards shows that is most often the failure point.

I use the factory manual to diagnose the problem and found it was one of two items. I ended up replacing both items but in the end all I needed to replace was the Fan control Amplifier (Part # 27761-70T03) ~$135.
