In this video we see a mild/low grade case of Keratosis Obturans, an uncommon ear condition where a dense plug of keratin (dead skin) forms deep in the ear canal, causing hearing loss, edema (swelling), extreme pain and in some cases bone remodelling (enlargement of the ear canal through increased osteoclast activity). The patient’s eardrum was exposed and confirmed as intact, they were then referred to ENT for further management.
