Dynasty Warriors 3: XL - Zhao Yun Musou Mode 6 | The Nanman Campaign

Описание к видео Dynasty Warriors 3: XL - Zhao Yun Musou Mode 6 | The Nanman Campaign

After the hell that was Yi Ling, we have a particularly easy stage with the Nanman Campaign. It just happens to be a long one, which makes it good for raising stats but annoying to play over and over and over again. And this stage comes up A LOT in the Wu and Shu musou modes.

Anyways, there's a particular order to go about this stage, going to the areas where Meng Huo appears as soon as he appears is the best way to do it. I don't do it here because this is my first time playing the stage, so I didn't know where he would appear. I just sort of ride around and take out officers in no real order. Zhang Fei and Ma Chao on the sides of the battlefield are the most likely to struggle here, so if you want to keep them a live go help them out pretty quickly.

Meng Huo starts right in front of you, then appears to the west near Zhang Fei, then appears to the east near Ma Chao, then appears in front of the main camp again, then appears down the center-west area beyond a gate that can only be destroyed by hijacking an elephant, then appears in front of the main camp once again, and finally he appears at his main camp the last time. You can have him automatically reappear at the main camp by ignoring his current position and charging forward.

Doing so will have you miss all the cutscenes involving him and your character and it will prevent you from seeing the cutscene of Meng Huo surrendering. You also miss out on several stat boosters and weapon boxes that Meng Huo would normally drop. You will also miss the cutscenes if anyone other than you defeats Meng Huo, so that can be something to watch out for if you have powerful bodyguards.

Which now that I mention it, bodyguards are weak as hell at first. If you don't have them on Shield command they will almost always die and then not gain any EXP so you really can't use them at all until they level up somewhat and you pump some stats into their defense. Then you can change them to Attack or Support and get things done with them.

Anyways, if you defeat all other enemy officers on the map then your commander will order the entire army to charge and he himself will move forward as well. Conversely, if your allies start to lose the enemy officers will advance on your main camp. But we're not under a strict time limit here so it's not a big deal either way. Honestly it's a pretty easy stage, just time consuming.
