This stage probably gave me the most trouble using Sima Yi, especially against Liu Bei/Zhang Fei. I tend to not trigger the burning Wu Chao part of the stage because that only happens if you lose Bai Ma or Yan Jin and it's not that hard to keep them alive if you focus on officers.

Guan Yu also only goes to battle when Wei Xu and Song Xian are defeated, but they're very likely to die almost immediately because their HP is smaller than your bodyguards in this stage. You can actually save them though, it's just totally not worth it since you want Guan Yu out there fighting anyways.
