2006 Honda Big Ruckus Carb Upgrade! Rebuild and Bigger Jets for more SPEED!

Описание к видео 2006 Honda Big Ruckus Carb Upgrade! Rebuild and Bigger Jets for more SPEED!

Our 2006 Honda Big Ruckus has 250cc engine that runs great. It should, considering it only has 3600 miles on it. Unfortunately it has sat for years between drives (before we bought it) and that has cause the carb to get crusty. We ordered a carb rebuild/re-jet kit from "All-Balls Racing" and set out to do the work.

First thing- the BR is much harder to get apart than older Honda scooters, it took over an hour just to get to the carburetor.

Second- the air/fuel mixture screw requires a special tool. If you don't have one, it costs like $30 and you won't use it again if this is your only bike. We opted to "redneck engineer" the original to get it out with a set of mini-snap ring pliers.

After the carb was rebuilt, the Big Ruckus rides like it should with a little more pep, easily reaching 60+ mph whereas it took a while to get up to speed before. The beauty of this rebuild is that we didn't even need to go in adjust anything after, 2 full turns out from the bottom on the air/fuel screw seems to be perfect for our bike. Only thing it could use is a little more idle speed, which was an issue before the rebuild.
