"Purple Haze" is the fourth album by Harlem rapper Cam'ron. It came out on December 7, 2004, through Diplomat Records, Roc-A-Fella Records, and was distributed by Def Jam Recordings. The release of the album was delayed multiple times, starting from November 2003. The first single, "Get Em Girls," came out a year before the album's release. When it debuted, the album reached number 20 on the Billboard 200, selling 123,000 copies in its first week. It later received a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Cameron Ezike Giles, born on February 4, 1976, is an American rapper known as Cam'ron. He started his career in the early 1990s using the name Killa Cam. Giles signed with Lance "Un" Rivera's Untertainment, a part of Epic Records, to release his first two albums: "Confessions of Fire" in 1998 and "S.D.E. (Sports Drugs & Entertainment)" in 2000. "Confessions of Fire" received a gold certification from the RIAA. After leaving Epic, Giles joined Roc-A-Fella Records in 2001 and released his third album "Come Home with Me" the following year. It got platinum certification from the RIAA and produced hit singles like "Oh Boy" and "Hey Ma." His fourth album, "Purple Haze," released in 2004, also achieved gold certification.
