Haken - Celestial Elixir - 8-Bit NES-style remix

It's been a whopping FIVE YEARS since my very first 8-bit cover, so I figured I should put up this one, which I have been slowly working on since shortly after the last cover... a year ago (whoops).

CHANNEL UPDATE:
I haven't had much time to dedicate to these covers, as I've been a little busy writing and recording some of my own (non 8-bit) music. I may have zero budget and production value, but I wanted to challenge myself by making an EP in my bedroom with nothing more than my computer, my microphone, and two guitars.

I've made another channel for it, so that it doesn't clog up your subscription box when all you want is 8-bit goodness. If you want to set aside 35 minutes and give my stuff a shot, you can find my EP here:

I adhered to the NES limit of 4 maximum simultaneous sounds (technically it's 5, but I use two combined for the kick drum as did most NES composers), which means that in order to accurately represent the chords, I had to arpeggiate some parts and harmonise with the bass in others.

I made the image by tracing over the original album cover and by applying what I could discover about NES colour palettes.
