Ragim Taiga first impressions

Описание к видео Ragim Taiga first impressions

Got my Ragim Taiga Asian bow yesterday.

First impressions is that the materials and build quality is good.

The handle is a bit square, and a bit uncomfortable with higher draw weights.
The shelf i small but nice, and is a welcome feature for beginners.

Thankfully the handle is narrow enough to also shoot on the right side with thumb or Slavic draw.

The bow is very, very short. Only 48 inches from nock to nock, and draws about 29 inches before stacking.

During the first shots, the bow felt very stiff, and felt like stacking from 27 inches. I was a bit disappointed. But thankfully the bow warmed up to draw at least 28 inches, but can draw 29.

I haven't been able to find any information about the recommended max draw length, but I would not draw it beyond 29.

The bow is very light, and will easily do a kathra, which I consider to be essential when shooting thumbdraw or Slavic draw.

It is... Lightning fast. Very quick!

It comes in draw weights from 20 to 55 pounds, and in left and right hand version. There is also a custom version with clear glass and wood veneer.

Nocks are good and sturdy, and feels very reliable.

The string is well made, and feels good and strong. The serving could be higher, to accommodate people with larger hands. The nock loops still twist, but will hopefully straighten with use.

I might go ahead and customize this bow, once I do a complete review. I would make an antler or horn arrowpas on the right side of the handle. Make the handle a little more round on the belly side, and ad a leather wrap.

The price of this bow, makes it a good starter horsebow in my opinion. Also because of the arrow shelf, so you can use it easily as a regular bow, if thumb or Slavic draw doesn't catch your attention. You can get this bow for about 100 euro + shipping. That is really well priced in my opinion.

Thats all for now. Stay tuned for the review 👍
