Fingerless gloves made with a simple ribbing pattern and the Smocking Stitch we had show on this video:   • Smocking Stitch

-Red Heart #4 Worsted Yarn - http://amzn.to/2gqGJUQ
-#8 knitting needles - http://amzn.to/2gqGJUQ
-Any spare needle that's smaller than the #8

///Instructions:
k=knit
p=purl
rs=right side
ws=wrong side
p2tog=purl 2 stitches together
pm=place marker
m1=make 1 stitch by picking up the strand between the 2 stitches and knitting
it through the back.

Cast on 49 stitches
Please watch the video on how to make Smocking Stitch.
End row with p1, instead of 2.
Make 4 “Wrap” sections.
On the 4th wrap section:
p2tog, k2, p2tog, wrap 6 and (k2, p2tog, k2), p2tog k2, p1=37 stitches.
knit 10 rows of:
rs= p1, k2, p1
ws= k1, p2, k1
Make thumb:
Rows 1 and 2 will continue with the established pattern on the 18 stitches on aether side of the thumb.
**Row 1(rs) and all odd number rows: *p1,k2 18 stitches,(thumb)*k2,p1* 18 stitches.
**Row 2(ws) and all even number rows: k1, p2 18 stitches. (thumb) p2, k1 18 stitches.
Row 1-rs= Make18 stitches,( pm, m1, (p1) m1, pm), make18 stitches. (3 for thumb)
Row 2-ws= Make 39 stitches
Row 3-rs= Make18 stitches, (pm, m1, (k1,p1, k1) m1, pm), make 18 stitches. (5 for thumb)
Row 4.- Make 41 stitches
Row 5-rs= Make18 stitches, (pm, m1, (p1,k1p1,k1,p1) m1, pm, make 18 stitches.

stitches (13 for thumb)
Row 12-ws= Make 49 stitches
Row 13-rs= Make18 stitches, (pm, m1, (p1,k1,p1,k1,p1,k1,p1,k1,p1,k1,p1,) m1, pm),
make 18 stitches (15 for thumb)
Row 14-ws=Make 51 stitches.
rs= Make 18 stitches, place next 15 stitches for thumb on holder, make last 18 stitches
ws= Make 18 stitches, m1, make 18 stitches=37
Continue with these 37 stitches 12 more rows. Bind off on the rs row.
Sew side and thumb. Weave in ends.
Make a second glove!
