Footage of a large airborne mission conducted by British, American and Canadian airborne forces which was designed to aid Allied ground forces seeking to cross the River Rhine from various points including the German city of Koblenz.

The mission began in England.

The footage also captures British Prime Minister Winston Churchill meeting with General Dwight Eisenhower who is also seen honouring soldiers of 101st Airborne who in December 1944 had heroically defended their position in the French town of Bastogne until relieved by units of General George Patton's 3rd Army.
