Profex XRD: Installation and Setup of Profex

Profex is available on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. This tutorial demonstrates how to install it on all three platforms.

To install all dependencies on Debian 10 (Buster):
sudo apt-get install build-essential qt5-default libqt5svg5-dev qtdeclarative5-dev

The workaround below is no longer necessary on OS X with Profex versions 4.3 or newer.

To remove the "quarantine" flag on OS X, open a terminal from "Applications/Utilities" and enter the following command:

sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Profex-BGMN/Profex.app

Assuming that Profex is installed in "Applications".
