#QBasic #Programming #Tutorials Well, hello again, fellow Wild Peoples! If y'all been peepin' my previous vids, you'll see we looked at creating what's known as "sequential" files in the past, and I mentioned something called "random" files. At the time, however, it was a bit too soon to go into them, but guess what - IT'S TIME! Yeppers, folks, as promised, this time 'round I'll be stuffing random access files down yer neck & you'll LIKE it, too!
But wait - there's more! (Sorry, no Ginsu knives...) Y'see, working with random files requires file reads and writes that are all a constant size (in bytes), so to help us with that , we'll be creating our own DATA TYPE! (Don't worry - it's not as scary as it sounds!)
So c'mon in, join the fun & I'll walk ya through it step by step. You'll get to see just SOME of what can be done with random files & maybe it'll give you some exciting ideas of your own! Meanwhile, as always, have FUN! ('Cause if it ain't fun, it ain't worth doin', amIright?)
