Kalpana Patowary presents a beautiful integration of folk music streams from around India in Rajasthan keeping the audience spellbound.

Recently she was invited to present different folk colors of India featuring Rajasthan in the 72 Jinalay Temple Dhwaja Mahotsav 2020 in Bhinmal Jalore district of Rajasthan.

Adorning her sequinned Rajasthani attire with heavy makeup which is her signature style of wearing traditional attires of different tribes in India, she was invited by the 72 Jinalay Temple committee as she was known for her presentation of unique and totally different blend of folk music cultures from across India live on stage and her works. The event organizers had seen her MORNI song (https://bit.ly/3bqTnAJ) in youtube channel performed along with Illa Arun in NDTV Imagine TV Channel music reality show and enquired whether she was from Rajasthan and requested her to wear the traditional Rajasthani dress and perform. Kalpana Patowary made a mark in the audience’s heart with soulful lyrics of Kesariya Balam Aavonee, one of the top Rajasthani folk song which is synonymous to the royal state of Rajasthan.

She did not forget Bhikhari Thakur, the Bard of Bhojpur in Rajasthan and fused the heart-wrenching BABUJI with CHHOTI SI UMAR which speaks about the early child marriage keeping the audience engrossed with her performance.

She enthralled the audiences with her trademark Bhupen Hazarika songs the Bard of Brahmaputra, crooning "Dil Hoom Hoom Kare" from the film Rudaali. No doubt the song was sung so beautifully and it moved the audience to tears.

The highlight of the evening was her own version of the classic patriotic song “JAHA DAAL DAAL” which she sang for the people of Rajasthan connecting Assam to Bhojpur to Rajasthan won many a heart.
