West View Park

Описание к видео West View Park

West View Park was an amusement park near Pittsburgh, Pa. It was home to 2 classic wooden roller coasters - the Dips, and the Racing Whippet. The Dips was an out and back style coaster with a wild turnaround near the highway (for great visibility!). The ride began with a tunnel that either went under the station or under the adjoining midway. The Racing Whippet was a mobius or continuous track racing coaster (much like the nearby still-operating Racer at Kennywood Park). It was built in a valley, The turns were independently banked to allow for a better race to the finish. Sadly, the park closed in the late 1970's.
