During career day in high school, Fernando Vallejo met a local firefighter who sparked his interest in a career as a firefighter.

“I knew that was my passion,” said Vallejo.

Vallejo joined the Sacramento Fire Department in 1995. He's currently assigned to Truck 5 on the A Shift.
