Contra III (3) (1992) | Wranker 4K SNES Real Hardware Playthrough | Retrotink 4K

Описание к видео Contra III (3) (1992) | Wranker 4K SNES Real Hardware Playthrough | Retrotink 4K

Full playthrough of Contra III: The Alien Wars, released in 1992 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System/Super Famicom, played on the original 1-chip SFC. Developed by Konami, Contra III is the third main line installment in the Contra series. It really is a brilliant title which I find hard to believe wasn't a heavy inspiration for Metal Slug. The SNES pulls out all the developer mode tricks, accumulating in a visual treat.

While a short game, Contra III is punishingly hard. I had to make a choice between a no death run on normal or a many death run on hard. I went for the former, but to get the true ending and final boss, the game must be played on hard difficulty. I will keep plugging away, so keep your eyes peeled for a hard playthrough in the future, if I can ever get a no death run.

I'm really enjoying the Contra series, so expect to see other titles from the main line and spin offs on the channel.

I use this channel to upload my gameplay footage used in my retrospectives. If you are interested in lengthy, in-depth reviews of retro games, check out my main channel ‪@TheCriticalWranker‬

******* Notes on this Video *******
This playthrough was captured on real hardware. I finally received my RetroTink 4K from the states and used it in this video. It scales the game in a perfect integer aspect ratio, and I highly recommend it to retro game enthusiasts. The SNES used is a 1-Chip variation, which produces the best picture available of the consoles revisions.

The gameplay was recorded in 4K, using the M.2 Avermedia 4K Live Gamer capture card, again, another great bit of equipment, and better than anything I have tried from Elgato.

I upload these playthroughs, mainly for real hardware footage preservation, which is why I use no watermarks or overlays and record the footage in integer scaled 4:3. Feel free to use it as you wish, all I ask, is you don't just reupload it in full. Credit to my main channel would be greatly appreciated, but not required. Youtube, obviously bit-crushes video and audio while compressing, so if you want the raw footage of this video, contact me.
