Silk Screen Printing Pottery with EZ Screen - Silk Screen Demo

Troy starts by rolling out a slab of clay on his slab roller. Then he lays down the EZ Screen flat, and adds underglaze to one side of the stencil. He then uses a clay rib to smooth out the
underglaze - moving quickly as it dries fast. After the first spread, he adds another line of underglaze and finishes off the other half of the screen. He ensures not to leave any un-glazed segments on the EZ Screen. The pattern is perfect once he lifts the screen! Then he uses a large cookie cutter to cut the round for his bowl and places it on a circular pottery form. He molds the clay with his hands and uses a rib to smooth it out and get the final shape. Then he rolls out three feet and attaches them to the bottom of the bowl by scoring and using slip.

These EZ Screen patterns are often used with t-shirts but they also work perfectly for using on pottery and ceramics! Troy really enjoys using them to design his pottery.
