Everything You Need To Know About Pairing New Parts To Your iPhone 16 Pro. Calibrating OEM Parts.

Here's the step by step process to pair & calibrate the OEM Replacement parts of your iPhone 16 Pro.

With iOS 18, Apple now allows independent Repair Shops to configure & pair the part to the motherboard. Previously, we would get a "non-genuine" message even if it was an original Apple part.

Now we are able to pair the new Screen/Display, Battery, Back Glass, Face ID True Depth Camera sensor, Rear Camera & even the Housing/Enclosure!

But Apple did something weird.
For the Rear Camera calibration, it makes us jump through a really weird hoop.

We have to scan the room, back & forth for about 3.5 minutes. We literally have to be twisting back & forth until the calibration finishes.

But at the end, the camera performance doesn't really change. So what's the point?

Another thing, these OEM parts can be "iCloud Locked" to the original motherboard. So if you don't know the Apple ID for the original motherboard, then you cannot calibrate them.

And something new I discovered, if you pair your original parts to another motherboard, then you want to pair them back, they will no longer show as original. It shows as "used".

Very weird stuff.
