Описание к видео Partition Story 1947||Bahia (Rania) to 12/SP (Pakpattan)||Partition India Pakistan||

Baba Faiz Ahmad is leading a happy life, farming at his own lands in Chak 12/SP, Pakpattan. He cannot erase the grim memories of partition year when he along with his family, had to leave his native village Bahia, near Rania. They had their own lands, house, social circle and life was good. Bahia was abode of hindus, sikhs and muslims.
In 1947, though their houses were not attacked, they had to leave for newly made country Pakistan. They left everything behind and settled near Chishtian, a tehsil of Bahawalnagar.
Baba recalls the troubles of the journey, attacks, killings, decaying dead bodies, cholera, blood-colored water, rains, homelessness, shortage of food etc. His chacha and a taya lost their lives to Cholera near Sadki and Fordwah canals.
In Bahia they had built a big pakki masjid where his grandfather used to teach the children of the village. His grandfather got religious education from a madrassa in Karnal, Panipat.
There was a big peepal or Borh tree near village pond under which people used to spend summer noons.
Baba Faiz misses his native village Bahia as did his elders. Their peaceful life was uprooted and they had to pass a turbulent time till they got claims and built their lives from the scratch.
It is worth watching. I cannot describe the story in words.
