In 1986 ADS 7 Adelaide, along with HSV 7 Melbourne, introduced the Frank Gari 'Hello' campaign to their audiences.

It was first implemented for Milwaukee in 1977 and was ultimately used in more than 120 television markets worldwide as a local campaign. While there were visually and aurally similar aspects to the Adelaide and Melbourne campaigns the jingles were different.

The ADS 7 campaign closed with the Seven Network logo and the statement 'Adelaide Proud'. This continued up until December 1987 when, as a result of ownership changes, ADS 7 joined Network Ten and SAS 10 joined the Seven Network - effectively ending the campaign.

As part of its 'Say Hello' campaign ADS 7 opened a retail outlet to sell Seven merchandise. This included the extremely popular Say Hello t-shirts and jumpers.

ADS 7 changed network affiliation at midnight on 26th December 1987 and is now ADS 10.

Andrew Heslop commenced his career at 5DN 972 in 1985.
