How can the youth start a revolution? Student leader and Agham Youth member Jon Bonifacio shares his answer to this question as he narrates his experiences advocating for educational reform. Jon Bonifacio is not afraid to speak his mind regarding social issues in the country. An alumnus of Philippine Science High School and the University of the Philippines - Diliman, he is a member of Agham Youth and a founder of Science and Technology Editors League of the Philippines (SENTINEL), both of which aim to develop science and technology in the country to better serve the Filipino people. As a student activist, Jon stood side-by-side with NutriAsia employees and was among the 19 student leaders and workers who were arrested at the NutriAsia picket line last July 30, 2018. His involvement did not stop there, as he continues to fight for political justice as well as other issues relating to education and the environment. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
