The People's Arts Festival at the Russell Industrial Center is the largest free arts festival in Detroit. August 27 & 28, 2011 will mark its 5th anniversary of bringing local artists together to share handcrafted works of art, fashion, live music and independent film. A feature length documentary about the festival including rare behind-the-scenes footage of Russell artists in their studios is currently in post-production.
