Flyzone Eraze EP 3CH 460mm Flying Wing Tx-R (Budget RC) - First Flight of This Strange Wing

Описание к видео Flyzone Eraze EP 3CH 460mm Flying Wing Tx-R (Budget RC) - First Flight of This Strange Wing

Here is another episode of “Budget RC”. This series is dedicated to finding great RC deals through friends, local RC clubs and swap meets, local sellers on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, eBay, RC Groups, other online forums etc. The goal of this series is to show you a sampling of budget deals for RC vehicles and equipment, as well as to provide a sense of what is out there and how much you should expect to pay.

I purchased this never-flown-before Flyzone (by Hobbico) Eraze EP RC airplane for $60 from a local seller that I had connected with through Facebook Marketplace. It has an 18.1in (460mm) wingspan and a 28mm brushless outrunner. It came in a great shape in a “BNF” (bind-and-fly) configuration with an Orange brand DSM2/DSMX receiver and the original battery. It only had slight “attic rash” and quite a bit dust, which I easily cleaned up. Also, the battery was old and weak, since this model had been first released back in 2013, and its is now discontinued. I consider myself lucky that I found this practically brand-new specimen. Check out these old videos and information about this old model at these links (these are NOT sponsored or affiliate links; I include them here just for information purposes):

I bound my Eraze to my beloved RadioMaster TX16S transmitter and programmed elevon (elevator-aileron) mixing. After some issues with the first hand-launch, I adjusted the elevator trim and had a successful but short flight. The old battery did not last long, and I ended up with a glider-style, smooth landing on grass. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed flying this parkflyer and loved its gentle but responsive flight characteristics. If there is interest from our viewers, I will fly it again with a new battery the next time and post a second video, so let me know in the comments section.

I hope you enjoyed this “Budget RC” video. We are constantly adding fun, exciting, entertaining, and informative content to our channel, so please subscribe and stay tuned for new videos. Stay safe and healthy. Cheers!
