TESTING #MAF SENSOR NISSAN MICRA: WORKING OR FAULTY?

Hey there Nissan Micra owners! Today i am going to talk about a common issue that many of you may encounter - a faulty MAF sensor.

The Mass Air Flow sensor, or MAF sensor, plays a crucial role in your car's engine performance by measuring the amount of air entering the engine.

A faulty MAF sensor can cause a variety of issues such as poor fuel economy, rough idling, Black smoke and even stalling.

So, how can you tell if your Nissan Micra's MAF sensor is working properly? Well, i am going to show you a simple tests you can do at home.

First, locate the MAF sensor in your engine bay. It's usually located between the air filter and the throttle body.

Next, disconnect the MAF sensor from the wiring harness and start your car. If your car runs better without the MAF sensor connected, it may be faulty.

Remember, this is just a basic test and for a more accurate diagnosis, it's best to check volts on MAF pins.

Ignition key in ON position:

approx: 0.4V

While cranking the engine

approx: 1.5V

At idle speed: approx. 1.3V

At a speed of 2 0 0 0 rev/min. (without load
approx: 1.7V

if the values are deviating resolder MAF or if problem persist change the throttle body.
