Loen Skylift is the quickest and easiest way to Mount Hoven and fantastic views of Nordfjord and Lovatnet 😉⭐️

The trip from the fjord to the mountain only take Loen SkyLifts a few minutes. High, steep and safe, you are brought a thousand meters up to Mount Hoven. When you arrive at the Mountain Station and the restaurant you will have 210 degree panoramic view overlooking Mt. Skåla and Lake Lovatnet in the east, Jostedalsbreen Glacier and Olden Village in the south and the Nordfjord that winds its way towards Stryn.

From Mount Hoven you have access to several kilometers of built and signposted hiking trails, and in winter you can go snowshoeing, cross country skiing and ski touring. The popular climbing route Via Ferrata Loen, with Gjølmunnebrua suspension bridge (the longest Via Ferrata Bridge in Europe), is also ending up at Mount Hoven. Guided tours on all these exciting adventures are offered by Loen Active.

Once you have arrived at the top, you can enjoy fine dining with local ingredients at the Hoven Restaurant, at the edge of the cliff, before you take the Loen Skylift back to Loen.

Loen Skylift is situated in Stryn, at the inner part of the Nordfjord. Nordfjord is the region between the largest mainland glacier in Europe and Norway’s wildest coast at the western cape, with spectacular mountains and valleys, rolling farmland and a dramatic coast line. Here, you are never far away from great, accessible travel experiences. Nordfjord is Norway at its highest, wildest, deepest and most enjoyable. All in one fjord.
