Caltrain Stadler KISS EMU Main Track Testing PART 3 (HORN ACTION)

Another new milestone for everyone at Caltrain. Earlier this morning, Caltrain continued with their overnight testing of their new state of the art Stadler KISS EMU trains. But last night was more than just a 2 mile hop from Santa Clara to San Jose Diridon, a 16 mile upgrade. Tonight's testing was to run from Santa Clara Station to San Antonio station in Mountain View. With several grade crossings along the test route, take a listen into how these new trains and their horns will sound with plenty of horn action. A total of 6 runs were performed before completing testing for the night. Speeds started from 25MPH (40Kmh), 35MPH (56Kmh), 45MPH (72Kmh) with a top speed for testing of 55MPH (72Kmh). Track speed testing will begin soon. Please enjoy the new trains of Caltrain as they go through, Santa Clara, Lawrence, Sunnyvale and Mountain View station.
