Hokitika Gorge Trail New Zealand 2024

Hi and welcome to todays walk to the incredibly stunning Hokitika Gorge located 35kms inland from the Hokitika township.
The Hokitika Gorge is world famous for its vivid turquoise waters that flow through the limestone cliffs among the green lush rainforest.

This trail is a very easy well maintained trail that starts from the Hokitika Gorge car park and can be completed in a loop walk via the upper Hokitika Gorge bridge that was completed in 2020.

Due to the closure of the old suspension bridge that crosses the lower Hokitika Gorge the Hokitika Gorge beach access and viewing platform can only be accessed via the upper Hokitika Gorge bridge.
