This is the entire 5.7-mile Sand Creek Segment of the Ice Age Trail between the 15th Street Trailhead and the 30th Avenue and 32 Road Trailhead. This day was sunny with temperatures in the mid to upper 70's with little wind.

Some notable sights along this section of the IAT include:
0:00 - Trailhead on 15th Street
0:35 - Start of 0.3-mile road walk southbound on 15th Street
05:40 - Begin Sand Creek Segment
15:50 - Come to a dry unnamed tributary of Orr Creek. Trail parallels it for a bit and then crosses it
18:30 - Up to this point, you've been crossing private land. Trail now on public lake in the Polk County Forest
26:25 - Trail begins following an abandoned forest road which is now an ATV trail
30:25 - IAT intersects an ATV trail. IAT leaves the abandoned road and now follows a more typical hikers foot path
34:15 - Cross Orr Creek, a tributary of Sand Creek
50:30 - Ice Age Trail leaves Polk County Wisconsin and enters Barron County Wisconsin. This is the second county we've entered since leaving the Minnesota/Wisconsin border. The IAT passes through 30 counties as it makes its way across the state.
55:25 - The trail crosses Sand Creek on a bridge. River has a hard sand bottom for which it is likely named.
55:58 - The sound of a pileated woodpecker drilling
56:35 - View of Sand Creek
59:20 - The IAT comes to an ATV trail/dirt track road and follows it for approximately the next 1.0-miles
01:22:00 - Ice Age Trail leaves the road and continues along a foot path
01:45:35 - Cross a dry unnamed tributary of Sand Creek on a small bridge
01:53:40 - Trail reaches road at intersection of 30th Avenue and 1 1/2 Street. Trail follows 30th Avenue eastbound for next 0.3-miles. The road follows the Barron/Burnett County Line.
01:58:30 - Reach the east end of the Sand Creek Segment and the western trailhead of the Timberland Hills Segment

Total hiking distance for this section is about 5.7-miles. This section of the IANST is part of the 5.7-mile Sand Creek Segment. The next segment of the IAT heading eastbound is the Timberland Hills Segment. The hiking direction along the Ice Age Trail recorded in these videos is from west to east across the State of Wisconsin.
