How I Open Any% (Nestor Skip Stone Hill Routing)

Описание к видео How I Open Any% (Nestor Skip Stone Hill Routing)

Had this in my unlisted garbage playlist for a while because I wanted to show the speed folks a strong form of my opening, but I don't like advertising that horrid livesplit time. That's not my PB, that was just for those splits, I run when I feel like it shut up I never practice the fundamentals I'm not actually good at this game.

But watching a certain WR Vod, a certain someone said it takes a major reroute to actually make Nestor Skip a reliable timesave, and I don't want anyone who might be genuinely interested in conquering Nestor Skip to back out because they heard that there is no simple, concrete way to realize the time save. A rube like me, with a high 40s PB, not even comfortable flame charging, coming out of Stone Hill 3.5 seconds ahead of record with 7* more gems and 4 dragons in tow. Is 5-6 seconds in total savings a make-or-break amount of time? Probably not right now, and I don't really believe this is the out-and-out most optimal way to restake your gem count. But even with some minor time-eating hiccups like entering with the wrong camera or bonking on the well, this is still a pretty reliable and immediate time save if you want it, and I love a good early gem count personally. So I'm flicking that visibility tab brother.

*Technically it should be 6, WR has a Sparx moment where a red just gets left behind.

EDIT: Also, like, if you don't want to do all of any of this, but still want to prove Nestor Skip's time save, you can just not go to Gavin in the well. You lose 2-3 reds, and save (13.3(Gavin) - 8.5(Nestor)). I'd take +3.5 seconds and +6 gems over +4.8 seconds and -3 gems easily, since 9 gems is clear over 2 seconds of value, but the point stands pretty clear. There is nothing ambiguous about saving time with Nestor Skip in Any%.
