Voigtlander Ultron 40mm f/2 SL-II S Aspherical f-mount review.

In this episode I review the f-mount Voigtlander Nokton 40mm f/2 SL-II S lens. I am looking to build out a strong non-Leica kit as all of my Leica M film cameras are now in need of repair and I guess it’s time to revisit Nikon!


For the test I load up a recently purchased Nikon f3p and a roll of Ilford HP5 and head to downtown Charlotte, NC. I shot all black and white film in this vid and wished I had shot some color film! The BW film was rated at 800 ISO, shot at 400, and developed at 400 in Ilford DD-X developer.

After the shoot shoot I go over some of the basic tech specs of the lens and then review a few of my favorites photos of the day.
