This is a video by ‪@LucidRhythms‬ that encouraged me trying a new concept: https://www.youtube.com/live/3yhD2c4A...

The idea of the concept is to have several parallel delay pedals that are synchronized at the beginning, but each pedal slowly goes off tempo making new rhythmic patterns that are constantly evolving in time. Small changes, even if they bring the pattern to irregular rhythmic structures, fell like natural. We feel it natural because we have time to get used to this patterns and small changes don’t “worry “us.

I used the Strymon Iridium as a splitter – thanks to its headphone output that duplicates the main out I had 4 mono channels of the same signal. Then the outputs of delays (3 stereo and 1 mono) were mixed in DAW.

I used MorningstarFX MC6 MK2 midi controller to sync the pedals and later to stop this synchronization (midi tempo off CC message).

The gear used:

Godin Solidac
Strymon Iridium
Strymon Timeline
Strymon Volante
Meris Polymoon
Chase Bliss Audio Blooper
Morningstar FX MC6 MK2
Disaster Area Midi Box
Strymon Zuma
RME Fireface UC

Shot with BMPCC 6K + Sigma 18-35mm
