Dr. Shashank Joshi is a professor of psychiatry, pediatrics, and education at Stanford. In this video, he gives tips to help a friend who might be struggling with a mental health crisis that includes suicidal thoughts, including things to text to a suicidal friend. Remember that just by being there, you are doing something valuable that can help prevent the escalation of suicidal thoughts.
